YouTube shorts is a feature on YouTube that allows users to create and watch YouTube  short form vertical videos of up to 60 seconds in length. YouTube shorts videos can be accessed through a separate "Shorts" section on the YouTube app or by scrolling through the "Shorts" shelf on the homepage. YouTube Shorts can be created using the YouTube app's built-in camera or by uploading vertical videos that are already recorded. The feature was introduced as a response to the popularity of short-form video content on platforms like TikTok.

YouTube shorts can be created and viewed within the YouTube app on mobile devices, and they are displayed prominently in the "Shorts" section of the app. Users can swipe vertically to browse through a feed of short videos, and they can also tap on individual short videos to view them in full screen
